Founded in 1949, Arlington Squares has been providing great opportunities for square dancing for more almost 60 years. We're active members of the Metropolitan Chicago Association of Square Dancers (MCASD), and you'll frequently see us stealing or retrieving banners around the area.
With well over 100 members, we're one of the largest clubs in the Chicagoland area. We're not limited to Arlington Heights residents: we have members living in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, and McHenry counties.
Our Special Events coordinators see that we have plenty of non-dancing activities scheduled as well. Recent events have included bowling outings, a Wrigley Field tour, hay rides, architectural cruises downtown and picnics -- and we're looking at plays, overseas vacation trips, and a host of other ideas. The "Day Stitchers" and "Night Stitchers" groups gather often for sewing, embroidery, cross-stitching and pleasant conversations.
Official membership is limited to adults 18 years or older, but youth members are welcome with an accompanying adult.
